PERSONAL TRAINING

WAYfit training utilizes HIIT (high intensity interval training) methodology.  Why?  Because lots of boring research has proven that short bouts at high intensity are more impactful than long sustained-pace exercises. Goodbye hour-long marathons on the treadmill.  My training sessions are 45 minutes long.  Sounds short? Keep in mind, you will be working the entire session (aside from predetermined rest periods); if we are talking (as typically happens between two gals) you are working! You can be confident that this duration is ample time to get a great sweat in.  The sessions include a brief warm-up consisting of dynamic stretches and then the workout will be a combination of exercises that vary each time we meet, from 20 second intervals to circuits as long as 8 minutes.


GROUP TRAINING

Ever heard the saying 2 is better than 1? With WAYfit group training, you and a friend, partner, roomie or colleague join forces to conquer your goals. Group training promises to be both fun and effective because we ALL tend to work harder when there’s someone next to us pushing us to finish that last rep. Oh and bonus – it’s cheaper than individual training.


VIRTUAL TRAINING

Work travel? Limited time? For you ladies that travel often or have busy work or mom schedules (um hello, everyone??), I have a couple of options that allow you  to continue training even when it’s not possible to get together in person. The first option is Customized Written Workouts whereby I give you a written workout to do on your own. Alternatively, if you still want the accountability of a face-to-face session, I offer FaceTime training as well.  The only thing you need is a phone, tablet or laptop and a Wi-Fi connection! Don’t have access to weights? No problem, your body weight is more than sufficient!


PRE + POST NATAL

Being pregnant and delivering a baby are two of the craziest demands a woman can put on her body (trust me, I know from experience!). Apart from plenty of rest and a balanced diet, exercise is one of the most critical components to enjoying a pain-free pregnancy and quick and easy recovery from labor.  As a certified pre and postnatal corrective exercise specialist, I love nothing more than guiding women through their pregnancies with safe and effective workouts and/or helping her bounce back from the marathon that is labor and delivery (c-sections included!).


STROLLER BOOTCAMP

Finding time to workout pre-baby is hard enough. Now we have to not only find the time (and willpower) but ALSO childcare? Sheesh! Welcome stroller bootcamp. Fun, new mom friends, sweat and extra time with your adorable babe are all things you can expect when we mamas get together with our jogging strollers and conquer a completely scalable workout at various locations in Nashville.  No matter if you just received your 6 week clearance to workout or you had your precious child 2 years ago, each workout can be modified to fit YOUR current fitness level. We meet, rain or shine, every Friday at 1600 Riverside Drive in East Nashville.  The session begins promptly at 8:30a and finishes at 9:15a sharp.  RSVP by emailing me at Rachel@wayfitnashville.com.  


PALEO COACHING

With Paleo coaching, we will schedule an initial consultation whereby we discuss your current habits, dietary likes and dislikes and goals. From there, I will design a custom, thirty-day eating plan JUST for you. The plan will not only contain specific breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks but will also outline all of the “do’s and don’ts” of following a Paleo lifestyle so you aren’t wondering what you can and cannot eat. 

The Paleo Coaching program is 8 weeks long (1 initial consultation and 7 follow up calls) so the meal plan is used two times. In my experience, clients love the recipes so much that by month two they are ready to re-create the tasty meals they enjoyed in month one. If however, you want to spice things up, I offer additional meal plans.
